Surely San Bernardino County sheriffs have more important things to do than harass legal medical marijuana patients. Surely the county has better things to do with their limited financial resources than spend the little money they have prosecuting people who are simply going to be let go because they were following the law in the first place.

I suggest that county officials, law enforcement and private citizens who do not like medical marijuana in their community work through the system and change the law, just like marijuana advocates did when Props 215 and 420 originally passed. California voters followed the rules and got these initiatives passed to protect patient’s rights. Whether you agree or disagree with the law, it is the law, and as a public official, you are obliged to follow it. Until those opposed organize and pass an initiative to repeal the law they seemingly find so distasteful, medical marijuana is and has been legal since 1996. Our leaders and public servants need to obey the law just like everyone else. Anything less is a degradation of our democratic system of government and an egregious and unacceptable abuse of power. As a patriotic American, I am OUTRAGED and frightened by the unlawful behavior of law enforcement and San Bernardino County officials. You are my elected representative in government. I am pleading with you to put an immediate end to this disgusting abuse of power and restore lawfulness to San Bernardino County. You are elected. I vote. And I will heavily campaign for those on our side and will heavily campaign against those who take power into their own hands, despite what the law says.

Cheri Sicard
San Bernardino County ResidentCheri Sicardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18197771600153064897noreply@blogger.com
